Christopher C. Annunziata, MD
For several years, I suffered with severe knee joint pain. I found many excuses for avoiding having knee surgery. For every project that I took on, I kept putting off having the knee surgery which I now know was inexcusable. Actually, I created more damage to my left knee by waiting. Then I began experiencing other aches and pains in my body—not a good sign.
Eventually, I started depending on a cane to get around. Depending on a cane to get around was my deciding factor to seek help and resolve the problems that was getting worse every day. The pain was truly intolerable and I tried hard not to complain. My co-worker had mentioned that his wife had knee surgery and that she was very pleased with the outcome.
Through his wife’s referral, I called and made an appointment with Dr. Christopher Annunziata at OrthoVirginia. After several doctor visits with Dr. Annunziata and his staff, I became comfortable with them and decided to have the total knee replacement surgery. That was the best day of my life!
On February 28, 2013, I had total knee replacement surgery at Virginia Hospital Center. Prior to the surgery, Dr. Annunziata and his staff educated me on the total knee replacement surgery “do’s” and “don’ts”. They constantly reminded me of what to expect and what I could expect from them. The information that I was provided was a learning process and very educational to me. I truly believe that their tenacity, assistance and care were a vital part of my healing process and my speedy recovery. Four weeks later, I returned to work.
Thanks to Dr. Annunziata and his staff for making my total knee replacement surgery an awesome experience. I’m feeling so much better than I have in the past several years, and I give kudos to Dr. Annunziata and his staff for making it all possible. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Dr. Christopher Annunziata and his staff.
