When to use orthopedic urgent care
With convenient locations around Virginia, you don’t have to wait for an appointment or spend hours in the emergency room. See an orthopedic specialist right away with Ortho On Call.
At Ortho On Call, we often treat conditions including:
- Sports injuries
- Sprains and strains
- Slips, trips, falls
- Hand and wrist injuries
- Foot and ankle injuries
- Knee injuries
- Back and neck injuries
- Broken bones
- Work-related injuries
Our Richmond Ortho On Call locations also do sports physicals on a walk-in basis.
In cases of life-threatening injury, please go straight to an emergency room. But for most sports injuries or acute care cases that are not life-threatening emergencies, Ortho On Call has you covered.
What to bring
When you or your child is injured, the important thing is to seek expert care immediately. Be sure to bring the following information with you to Ortho On Call so we can treat you quickly.
- Valid ID (required for treatment)
- Medical insurance card
- Workers’ compensation documentation, if applicable
- Form of payment (cash, check, or major credit card)
Injured at work? Ortho On Call can help
Ortho On Call gets you quick access to orthopedic specialists so you get back to work fast. For workers’ compensation cases, please bring the following information with you:
- Valid photo ID
- Location of injury on your body
- Date of injury
- Name and phone number of employer contact and/or case manager
- Adjuster’s name/contact information, if available
- Name of the workers’ compensation insurance plan used by your employer
- Claim number, if available
Because we offer urgent care, we realize that sometimes you may not have time to get a claim number before seeking treatment. If you don’t have a claim number when you come to Ortho On Call, we will bill your insurance and then resubmit through your workers’ compensation case.
If, for any reason, your workers’ compensation case is denied, you will only be responsible for the charges outlined by your insurance carrier, as with a non-work-related injury.
