MECHANICSVILLE, Va., Aug. 1, 2019 – OrthoVirginia is pleased to announce the association of Christopher P. Lake, MD in the Richmond area. Dr. Lake specializes in sports medicine, non-operative general orthopedics, and pediatric orthopedics.

Dr. Lake attended Florida State University for his undergraduate education and earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Cabarrus Family Medicine with Carolinas Healthcare System in North Carolina. He went on to do a specialized fellowship in sports medicine at Cone Health Sports Medicine.

Dr. Lake was previously the team physician at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC, and was a physician for the USATF Junior Olympics Track and Field Outdoor Championships and for USA Gymnastics.

“We are thrilled Dr. Lake is joining OrthoVirginia,” said Lynne Robinson, Chief Administrative Officer, OrthoVirginia Central. “His sports-medicine expertise and his experience with non-operative treatments will greatly benefit our patients,” she added.

Dr. Lake joined the practice August 1, 2019 and is now accepting new patients in the Hanover office.
