Aparajithan (Abi) is a physical therapist at OrthoVirginia’s Lynchburg location. He received his Bachelor Of Science in Physical Therapy in 1983 from Madras Medical College, Madras, India; Certification in Massage Therapy from Cayce & Reilly School Of Massotherapy, Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2002. Abi has had his Isernhagen Certification of Functional Testing since 1995 and received his BTE certification of Functional Testing in 2013 from BTE in Baltimore, Maryland. Abi is trained at the expert level in the John F. Barnes Myofascial Approach , since 2001. Abi completed Graston M1 Basic Training. Abi is a member of American Physical Therapy Association and the Indian Association of Physiotherapy. Abi has also assisted in teaching MFR I, MFR II, Unwinding and Fascial Pelvis seminars given by John F. Barnes at various locations. Abi has also successfully completed the Level I and Level II Fascial Manipulation courses given by Dr. Antonio Stecco and Dr. Warren Hammer.
Abi thoroughly enjoys treating a wide variety of orthopedic patients in general with his specialization in Myofascial Release techniques. Abi has gained 10 years of experience in the various hospitals, 25 years of Orthopedic experience and 16 years of MFR experience.
