Stellate ganglion block

A stellate ganglion block is an injection that numbs nerves in your neck.

You’ll be numbed with a local anesthetic. Using x-ray guidance, the physician puts a needle next to the stellate ganglion nerves in your neck. After making sure the needle is in the right position, the physician injects medicine to numb the nerves and reduce inflammation. The needle is removed and after a short monitoring period you can go home.
