Dr. Robert Boyd Rawles attended college at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he was Deans List, earning his Bachelor of Science degree. Following this, he received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia/VCU in Richmond, Virginia, and interned, completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Virginia.

He is board-certified in Hand Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Surgery of Hand and the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Rawles is married with two daughters and a son and enjoys hunting, fishing, cooking and spending time with family.
