Minimally invasive total hip replacement uses techniques to make smaller incisions and disrupt the tissues in your leg less than a traditional hip replacement, so you can recover faster.

By making a smaller incision into your hip, your recovery after hip replacement is shorter and the pain is less. You can spend less time in the hospital, use less pain medicine, and go back to your daily life sooner.

You’ll still need to restrict your activities as directed by your doctor, follow the pain relief information you’ve been given, and complete physical therapy after your replacement.
