Originally from the small town of Waterville, Maine, Rachel moved to the DC area during high school. To pursue a career in physical therapy, Rachel entered Ithaca College where she graduated cum laude. She earned her Masters of Physical Therapy with a minor in health sciences and then her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2006. During her time at Ithaca College, Rachel interned in various physical therapy settings, including a skilled nursing facility, a level 1 trauma hospital, an outpatient orthopaedic center, and a sports medicine clinic.
Rachel’s interest in physical therapy began in high school as an active member of the swim & dive, track & field, and athletic training teams. Her interest in athletics made choosing an outpatient orthopaedic physical therapy clinic an easy choice. Rachel joined the Reston office of Commonwealth Orthopaedics in December 2006.
