Deana originally became interested in Physical Therapy while working with children with special needs while in college. As she gained more experience during her graduate studies, she became interested in the “hands on” aspect of working with patients with orthopedic injuries, both children and adults. Since joining OrthoVirginia Physical Therapy in 2003, she has enjoyed treating a wide variety of patients, using both manual therapy skills and therapeutic exercise to help her patients return to their active, busy lives.
After growing up in the Northeast, Deana earned her BS in Biology at the College of William and Mary in 1999, then her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia in 2002. In 2005, Deana went back to the Medical College of Virginia and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) through a distance-based program, which she completed in 2007. Since 2006, Deana has been the clinic manager in our Fairfax office, and she enjoys splitting her time between patient care and administrative activities.
Deana and her husband have a young daughter, who keeps them busy. They enjoy relaxing with family, swimming, and traveling.
