Residency Outcomes

FAQs

All cohorts will start in August and run for 15 months through November of the following year.

Residents will be placed in the clinic of the mentor for hands on mentorship and easy access to their mentor throughout the program. If this is not possible due to staffing and space availability in the mentor’s clinic, the resident may be working out of two offices (their home clinic and mentor’s clinic) during their program.

The residency is at no cost to the resident. The resident will sign a contract to repay OrthoVirginia for failure to complete the program/pass the OCS exam or if they leave the company prior to the contract date.

Residents will have a 30/10 split for clinical and non-clinical (didactic) hours. The residents’ non-clinical hours will be consist of but not limited to, lecture, lab, experiential learning with other providers in the company, mentoring sessions with mentor and weekly calls with the program director.

Residents will maintain their full salary during their residency period despite the reduction in clinical hours.
