Lisa is an Occupational Therapist at OrthoVirginia’s Lynchburg location. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Liberty University in 1989, and went on to receive her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Medical College of Virginia (VCU), Richmond, in 1991. She has practiced Occupational Therapy in a variety of settings here in Lynchburg, including hospital based acute and skilled rehab, outpatient and home health. She began working specifically in orthopedic hand therapy when she started at the OrthoVirginia Lynchburg location in 2008, and eventually earned her certification in hand therapy (CHT) in 2014. Lisa has completed Graston M1 Basic Training. Lisa enjoys splinting the hand, wrist and elbow as well as treating the entire upper extremity for a variety of diagnoses and injuries, and post-operative rehab. Affiliations include American Occupational Therapy Association, and American Society of Hand Therapy. One of her greatest joys working here is being able to help individuals of all ages return to being able to participate in a skill, job, sport, or hobby that their injury has prevented them from doing, and being able to help creatively direct that process during therapy.
Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, cooking, crafting, camping, and involvement in her local church.
