Daphne M. Batista, PT, DPT

Daphne obtained her Bachelor’s of Arts in Dance and Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from George Mason University in 2017. She obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Performing Arts Medicine Certificate (PAM-GC) from Shenandoah University in 2020 and 2021, respectively. She is currently an orthopedic physical therapist, serving patients in the Northern Virginia area. Daphne is also pursuing a certification in trigger point dry needling from the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments (IAMT). She has a special interest in orthopedics, especially in the lower extremities. Given her extensive dance background, Daphne focuses on assisting patients in returning to their normal lives, especially those in the performing arts realm. Daphne is also certified in Rhythm Works Integrative Dance (RWID) and fosters an inclusive dance environment through Darby’s Dancers, a nonprofit organization for children and adults with special needs. In her free time, she also teaches an array of dance styles at the local dance studio to children and adults including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, and hip-hop.
