Bio

Dr. Andrew Henebry specializes in hand, wrist and elbow surgery. He believes that all orthopedic surgeons strive to help patients return to the activities they love – without pain and to the fullest of their ability and that hand surgery enables that as much as any other subspecialty in medicine. Through strong mentorship during his orthopedic and hand training, as well as his 16 years in Navy orthopedics, he has seen the positive impact that hand surgeons can make in peoples’ lives.

Hand surgery allows him to treat a variety of conditions, both operatively and non-operatively, ranging from fractures and arthritis, to nerve, tendon and soft tissue conditions. His surgical techniques vary from fracture fixation to microsurgical nerve surgery, to arthroscopy, to joint replacement surgery, and more. Pairing the appropriate treatment with an individual patient’s needs is the both the most challenging and the most rewarding aspect of his work. His Navy career brought his family to Tidewater, and he is excited to continue serving the community as part of OrthoVirginia.

In his free time, Dr. Henebry enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons. They love the outdoors, including boating and fishing, youth sports, swimming at the neighborhood pool, and getting out in the community however they can. He is also an avid college football fan and cheers for Notre Dame whenever he can.
