Richmond Ice Box and OrthoVirginia announce a new partnership that designates OrthoVirginia as the Official Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Provider for the Richmond Ice Box. The partnership displays both organizations’ commitment to making ice sports more accessible, safe, and enjoyable for people of all ages.
Based in Richmond, Virginia; OrthoVirginia is the largest orthopedic provider in the state with more than 160 orthopedic specialists and over 35 locations across Virginia. OrthoVirginia’s orthopedic specialists understand what it takes to help people stay active from kids playing youth hockey to adults skating around the rink with friends for a
night of fun.
OrthoVirginia’s partnership with Richmond Ice Box ensures families in the Richmond community have expert injury prevention resources and specialized orthopedic care for everyone to enjoy ice sports activities at every stage of life.
Together, OrthoVirginia and the Richmond Ice Box will collaborate on initiatives that educate families on injury prevention, promote active lifestyles, and improve access to quality orthopedic care and sports medicine in the Richmond region. As part of the partnership, OrthoVirginia owns the naming rights for the ice sheet at Richmond Ice Box. The ‘OrthoVirginia Arena’ will be a community hub and tourism attraction supported by local orthopedic specialists who are making a positive impact on sports programs, tourism, orthopedic care and sports medicine in Virginia.
