Dr. Aryee chose orthopedics in medical school after seeing how pervasive and incredibly disabling musculoskeletal problems can be for individuals of all walks of life. He was inspired by the ability that orthopedic specialists had to restore function and quality of life through surgery. He gravitated towards sports medicine as a subspecialty because he enjoyed the idea of caring for individuals who maintain high levels of activity as a core part of who they are. As a former division 1 athlete, Dr. Aryee understands firsthand just how valuable the ability to perform unencumbered by injury is for athletes at all levels. Being a sports medicine specialist allows him to bring advanced expertise to the clinic, the training room, the playing field, and the operating room whenever he has the privilege of taking care of active individuals.
Outside of work, Dr. Aryee enjoys recreational sporting activities such as running, weight training, tennis, and paddleboarding. He also enjoys attending sporting events and comedy clubs. Recently, he has taken more opportunities to travel both locally and abroad to experience new cultures and cuisines.
