OrthoVirginia Specialties

Sports Medicine

Some of the best athletes in Virginia trust their joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments to OrthoVirginia’s sports medicine specialists. In fact, we serve as team physicians for the Washington Redskins, George Mason University Patriots, University of Richmond Spiders, Hampden-Sydney Tigers and numerous regional high schools.

The sports medicine team at OrthoVirginia specializes in providing expertise related to primary care sports medicine, surgical and non-surgical orthopedics, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and sports performance. We provide the same great care to youth and amateur athletes as well.

As the largest multispecialty orthopedic group in the state, quality sports medicine is never far away with OrthoVirginia. We have 10 offices in Northern Virginia, 11offices in Richmond and an office in Lynchburg, VA. OrthoVirginia patients appreciate the caring nature of our staff and the expertise they provide in a time of need. When you are in pain from a sports injury, compassionate care from a medical professional that will treat your body with the utmost care can make all the difference in the experience you have. We are dedicated to providing excellence from your very first visit all the way through recovery and rehabilitation. We want to make sure you are back in peak performance as soon as possible.

Our team of highly trained sports medicine specialists provides state of the art, minimally invasive management of the entire spectrum of musculoskeletal sports injuries including injuries of the knee, ankle, hip, back, shoulder, neck and more. This comes from years of combined experience treating ACL tears, hip injuries, meniscus tears, rotator cuff disorders, ligament and tendon conditions of the elbow as well as traumatic and atraumatic issues of the bone and joints just to name a few.

Because we understand no two injuries or bodies are the same, our staff is dedicated to providing personally tailored surgery as well as non-invasive treatment options including physical therapy. We believe in serving our communities with the highest level of care whether you are a professional, youth, or amateur athlete, so you can get back in the game.
