Doctor Matthew Walker specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery as well as orthopedic fracture care. Dr. Walker, who grew up in Richmond, completed medical school at the University of Virginia. He then moved to Baltimore, MD to complete his Orthopedic residency at the world-renowned University of Maryland/Shock Trauma center. During this time he learned how to care for virtually all aspects of Orthopedic trauma and fractures. After residency, he pursued advanced training with a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery under the direction of Dr. Mark Frankle at the Florida Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Walker’s interests include all aspects of shoulder and elbow care, from sports related injuries to advanced degenerative conditions. He has vast experience in both arthroscopy and joint replacement surgery of both the shoulder and elbow, as well as complex reconstructive procedures of these joints. Currently, Dr. Walker is seeing patients at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital.
