OrthoVirginia is pleased to offer our patients the latest advancements in bracing.
Braces come in many forms, and they may be used for a variety of reasons. They could be offered as an alternative to surgical treatment, for post-operative protection or to provide active support for athletes. Our physicians and bracing specialists will work with you to identify a suitable option based on your specific needs and circumstances.
Bracing Equipment (Orthoses)
- Knee – We offer a wide range of bracing products specific to the knee, including: post-operative bracing following ACL and/or trauma; off-the-shelf and custom functional bracing for ligament and/or instability issues; and off-the-shelf and custom bracing for osteoarthritis and/or knee deformities.
- Upper Extremities – We offer custom and off-the-shelf elbow and shoulder orthoses for post-operative and functional use.
- Spine – Depending on the diagnosis, patients can be fitted for simple corsets, lumbosacral orthoses (LSO), thoraco-lumbo-sacral orthoses (TLSO), semi-rigid cervical collars and cervicothoraco orthoses (CTO).
- Ankle – OrthoVirginia brings patients a range of options for ankle bracing, from off-the-shelf hinged ankle stabilizing orthoses (ASO) to customized ankle-foot orthoses (AFO).
