Kim graduated with her BS in Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida in 1997. Originally from Florida, she moved to the DC area after graduation in search of a moderate climate and four seasons. Kim began her OT career working in inpatient acute hospital and rehabilitation settings prior to specializing in her true interest of hand therapy. Kim began her hand and upper extremity career in 2005 at the burn center in Washington, DC where she enjoyed treating complex traumatic injuries. Kim completed the Certificate of Advanced Practice in the Hand and Upper Quarter Rehabilitation at Drexel University in 2009, and then earned her CHT certification in 2012. Prior to joining OrthoVirginia, Kim has worked in a hospital based outpatient hand clinic and a private practice hand clinic. She is now excited to be a part of the OrthoVirginia team.
Kim lives in Fairfax with her husband and 2 young girls. Kim enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading, and playing outside with her girls.
