Ethan Sherman, DPT, OCS

Ethan is a physical therapist at OrthoVirginia’s Henrico Parham Doctor's location. Ethan’s interest in orthopedic physical therapy began during his time competing as a member of the James Madison University Varsity Swim and Dive Team.  He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Sciences from James Madison University in 2010 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from MCV/VCU in 2013.  He then went on to earn his Board Certification as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2016 following completion of the Virginia Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Institute course series.  He specializes in and enjoys treating shoulder pain in overhead athletes (baseball players, swimmers, etc).  His ability to treat this patient population is aided by his extensive involvement in the two sports from a young age into college.
Ethan has also recently become OrthoVirginia’s Center Coordinator of Clinical Education to the VCU Schools of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.  His role as CCCE includes coordinating clinical education for students involved in VCU’s respected doctoral programs.  He also volunteers as a Clinical Educator for both VCU’s undergraduate Exercise Science program and VCU’s Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate students.
Outside of the office, Ethan enjoys exercising, snowboarding in the Winter, beaching it during the Summer, and attending local sporting events.
