Emily, born and raised in Arlington, returns to OrthoVirginia’s Arlington clinic after graduating from Wingate University in 2016. Prior to beginning graduate school, Emily was a physical therapy technician in the same clinic for two and a half years and with this experience she knew this was the path she wanted to take in life. While in school, she fell in love with neurological aspects of the human body as well and now finds significant importance in incorporating this whole-body approach to out-patient orthopedics.
She grew up with a love of athletics and two parents that value science, education, healthcare, and physical activity. She was recruited to play NCAA Div. I basketball for Radford University and was sidelined for much of her career due to injury but gained valuable insight and interest in what the human body is capable of through this experience of a different point of view.
