Courtnie is a Physical Therapist at OrthoVirginia’s Lynchburg location. Courtnie is originally from southwest Virginia and attended both undergrad and graduate school at Shenandaoh University in Winchester, VA, where she completed the accelerated program for her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008. Courtnie has always been passionate about outpatient orthopedics, starting her career at the Lynchburg location upon graduating in 2008. She is additionally certified as a STOTT Pilates Rehabilitation Specialist. She enjoys treating all patients, focusing on orthopedic injuries, neurological pathologies, post-operative rehab, along with adolescents with orthopedic dysfunctions. Since October 2013, Courtnie has specialized in treating post-concussion syndrome as well as vestibular disorders such as vertigo and dizziness. She plans to further pursue a clinical specialty in orthopedics in the future. In March 2017 Courtnie completed training at The American Institue of Balance and received certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation and Evidence Based Concussion.
Courtnie enjoys outdoor fun such as playing tennis, spending time on the lake, and taking care of her chickens. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, friends, and husband.
