Our semi-private sport-specific training offers a unique training experience that combines the benefits of personal attention with the dynamics of small group training. This program is designed for athletes who want to enhance their skills in a specific sport while enjoying the camaraderie and motivation of training alongside like-minded individuals. Our semi-private training sessions are limited to 3 clients. These individuals are paired up after being evaluated to ensure the group is of similar skill levels.

Our semi-private sessions are led by experienced trainers who focus on improving sport-specific techniques, tactics, and performance. Through a blend of individualized coaching and group drills, athletes receive personalized attention and feedback, ensuring their training is targeted and aligned with their sport’s requirements. With a smaller group size, athletes can benefit from a more intimate and supportive environment, fostering healthy competition and accelerated progress towards their sport-specific goals. Introducing our comprehensive sports team service designed to optimize performance and reduce the risk of injury throughout the season. Our pre-season team screenings by our physical therapists and trainers provide a thorough evaluation of baseline strength, enabling us to track progression and identify potential areas of concern. By assessing various factors, we can identify injury predispositions, allowing teams to take proactive measures for prevention.

In addition to screenings, we offer personal training and physical therapy services tailored to the specific needs of each athlete based on the deficits found in their screen. Our team works closely to ensure athletes can focus on their game without worrying about the potential risk of injury. With targeted training, we aim to empower athletes to excel on the field while minimizing the chances of injury. All athletes participating in this program will be eligible for auto-enrollment into the OrthoVa Athlete Perk Program if desired.

OrthoVa Athlete Perk Program includes direct communication with trainer or therapist and priority scheduling. Athlete will be provided information upon enrollment. Contact us to schedule pre-season team screenings

How does the program work?

OrthoVirginia Sports Performance begins with a 60-minute analysis with a member of our sports performance team. This session will assess strength, flexibility, stability, power and movement analysis. Based on these findings, an individualized evaluation summary will recommend the right training protocol for you.

Who can benefit from this program?

OrthoVirginia Sports Performance benefits athletes of all ages and abilities—from recreational to professionally competitive. It is designed for anyone who is returning from injury or anyone seeking to enhance their performance through a medically designed program.

How is OrthoVirginia Sports Performance different from physical therapy?

OrthoVirginia Sports Performance is designed to bridge the gap from performing activities of daily living such as walking and going up and down the stairs to full and safe return to sport. We enhance the results of your orthopedic and physical therapy care by guiding you through fitness protocols to complete your recovery from injury. Without quality post-rehabilitation training to integrate full body strength, flexibility and coordination, you’re not fully preparing yourself to get back to regular physical activity.
