CROOG Originally from Rochester, New York, Dr. Alexander earned a BA cum laude in Psychology from Harvard University before studying medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. There, he was named to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Croog completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at New York University/Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City under the leadership of Dr. Joseph Zuckerman. He then served as a Mary S. His special interests within the field of orthopaedics are trauma and reconstructive surgery for problems of the hand, wrist, and elbow, including carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist fractures, arthritis of the thumb, and Dupuytren’s disease.

Dr. Croog is married to Gillyn, and they have a son Wyatt, a 1st grader. Gillyn serves as PTA president for Wyatt’s school. Dr. Croog’s interests include sports, particularly following his maligned favorite football team Buffalo Bills, movies, and keeping his son injury-free.
