OrthoVirginia, the state’s largest provider of multi-disciplinary musculoskeletal care and therapy, today announced Dale Ingram as Chief Executive Officer. An experienced healthcare leader, Ingram spent the last 16 years in leadership roles at The Cardinal Orthopaedic Institute and Orthopedic One in Columbus, Ohio. He served as Chief Executive Officer of The Cardinal Orthopaedic Institute prior to the merger that created Orthopedic One, where he served as Co-CEO, then COO, of the new entity.
“We are excited to have Dale join us as CEO of OrthoVirginia,” said Anthony Shaia, M.D., President of OrthoVirginia Board of Directors. “Dale brings the leadership skills that we need to attain our goals of improving the quality and efficiency of patient care across the state.”
During Ingram’s tenure at The Cardinal Orthopaedic he guided the practice through several mergers and practice acquisitions with 500% growth in revenue. Prior to his work in the orthopaedic industry, Ingram served in leadership roles at the National Retina Institute in Baltimore, Maryland where he oversaw all operations and the management team of the practice. During that time, he opened new offices throughout Washington, D.C. and northern Virginia. In all of his previous management roles, Ingram has proven his ability to lead large, multi-site medical group practices while ensuring the best possible care for the patients he serves.
In addition to a double major in Managerial Economics and Industrial Administration at Carnegie Mellon University, Ingram holds a Masters of Business Administration from Rutgers Graduate School of Management. He is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Executives and the Medical Group Management Association.
At OrthoVirginia, Ingram will lead a statewide network of physicians and other professional healthcare providers as the organization delivers high quality, cost-effective musculoskeletal care through innovative orthopedic techniques and care delivery systems. “OrthoVirginia emphasizes quality, innovation, and efficiency,” said Dr. Shaia. “We look to Dale and his team to help us achieve these goals.”
