OrthoVirginia is seeking a Full-Time Insurance Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for posting insurance payments, processing appeals and insurance denials, running claims daily, monitoring insurance/patient refunds, and reviewing aging AR for all payers. Also responsible for understanding and communicating all reimbursement issues for all payers to the organization, and reconciling payments from insurance companies to ERA/EOBs.
Candidates must have knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of third party payer fee schedules and reimbursement requirements. 3-5 years’ experience in a physician practice performing insurance or billing is preferred.
Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record is a plus.
Possible flex scheduling or remote work may be an option for experienced candidates after completion of a training period.
