Patient Testimonials

“I had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Kevin Sumida for the last two years for my knee related problems. He has, during this time, shown expertise and capability that is a model for any medical doctor. In the twenty years that I have been using VHC for all my medical issues, Dr. Sumida has not only been the best orthopedic doctor I have encountered, but also one of the best doctors of any specialty a patient can hope to have. In every single visit, he always listens to the patient’s problems, discusses the reason for the problem and suggests the medial alternatives for treatment. After discussing the pros and cons of each treatment with the patient, he involves the patient in making a joint decision on the best suitable therapy. On every subsequent visit, Dr. Sumida takes the time to explain the progress. Overall, his holistic approach for diagnosis and treatment is a model for the medical profession. He is indeed an asset the VHC can be proud to have.” – Ranganthan S.

Ed received a partial knee replacement using the Mako surgical robot in August 2020. After consulting with Dr. Sumida, Ed decided a partial knee replacement was the best course of action to resolve a worker’s compensation case. “Dr. Sumida took very good care of me throughout my time before and after my partial knee replacement,” said Ed. “The surgical process went smoothly and I have no complaints.” Ed is excited to get back to his normal life and perform his daily activities while continuing the recovery process.
