April is a Virginia native, born and raised in Virginia Beach. She loved playing sports such as field hockey, soccer and track. Field hockey was her passion, participating in various tournaments and travel leagues.
She then made her way to the Northern Virginia area in 2000 where she received her B.S. Degree in Health, Fitness, Recreation and Resources from George Mason University in 2004. By 2009 she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Marymount University.
She became a part of the Commonwealth/OrthoVirginia family shortly after graduating from physical therapy school in 2009. She left for a brief period of time and has since returned in 2015 to the OrthoVirginia Fairfax Office. April has a strong interest in orthopedic and sport related injuries. April's other interest is in Pediatric Physical Therapy where she gained both an inpatient and outpatient experience at INOVA Fairfax Hospital during her final clinical rotation in school.
In her free time, April loves spending time with her family, exploring new restaurants and running.
