Patient Testimonials

“I had been experiencing shoulder pain for years following a fall while shoveling snow. The first doctor did a simple x-ray and since nothing was broken he sent me to physical therapy. The whole time I was in therapy I told the therapist that my shoulder joint was popping and not behaving like my un-injured shoulder. He didn’t respond to that and I ended up completing therapy with moderate progress made. As I was still experiencing significant pain, another doctor just sent me to PT again- no x-ray or MRI. I continued to have the same symptoms but basically just did as I was told. I saw another doctor earlier this year who basically insinuated that I was seeking opioids and referred me to more PT. Then COVID hit and I was not comfortable going to PT. I finally made an appointment with my primary care physician, who decided to refer me to Dr. Kiritsis. Dr. Kiritsis was able to diagnose me with Rotator Cuff Arthropathy from an x-ray. He also actually examined my shoulder noting that the popping was an indication something was wrong which I took to mean that i probably should have been referred to a specialist long ago. Dr. Kiritsis showed me my x-ray and explained the extent of my condition. And while he wasn’t able to give me good news, I felt somewhat vindicated that finally a medical professional believed I was in pain- and for good reason. While there is no easy fix for my problem because it went on for so long, he was able to give me a cortisone shot to help at least temporarily. I was impressed that Dr. Kiritsis listened to me and was thorough in his examination. I appreciate that he clearly explained my condition and informed me of possible next steps. I didn’t feel like I was just given superficial attention and referred off to more PT. If you ever have issues with your shoulders, Dr. Kiritsis is the doctor to see.” – James B.
